Got my first arowanas!!

i finall got my 1st arowana. i was at my lfs and i saw them on te coner of m eye!! they were about 2 inches long for only $5 each!!! i brought 2 of them. i put them in with my piranhas and oscars. with a divider of course!!! they got like 1/4 of the tank. 175 gal. how can i make them grow fast?? i will post pics when i get the chance, most like later on today!!!

can u tell me what kind? so far i feed them blood warms 3 times a day.... i do a water change everyday

i feed my aro's superworms, mealworms, mussels, shrimp, and JBL's new arowana food called dragon and they seem to like it and it's dry

2 inch fish shouldnt be fed with something which most probably,unable to fit in its mouth,so i would suggest feeding blood worms for now til it gets bigger,slowly introduce food like feeders or mealworms

i just got home and 1 of them was in the oscars mouth. i think it jumped over the divider =[[

try feeding baby sized hikari cichlid pellets. and FD brine shreimp you get in a canister of cubes, also try ocean plankton. that was my aros diet at 2" to about 6" and it seemed to work well.

lol i got scared when i read it was in the same tank with ur piranhas and oscars!

anyway, in my expericence, just as long as its eating.. be it prepared, live or pellets... they WILL GROOOOOOOOW FAST!!!
