Got my first Bichir today - i'm so excited.

Bought it at luch. They had it labeled as a Dinosaur Bichir - and I think that is what it is.

I asked the salesperson to feed it and it ate a 2 sinking pellets.

At home I have a tank all set up for it. In about, oh, 1/2 an hour it will be home.



So much personality in these fish it would seem.

Sorry, I guess there isn't a point to me posting this but to say i am happy.

i think you have yourself a senegal. very cool little guy. my sen was my first bichir two.

Almost always a Senegal Bichir is listed as Dinosaur Bichir at Petsmart/Petco (Good thing to cause they use to be called "Dinosaur Eels )

Thats good dude! Just feed him pellets and don't try to feed him dirty feeder goldfishes...

agreed no feeders. try giving him shrimp or defrosted krill thats what i feed my sen

haha true. petsmart or petco never label their fish right. for ex. they said an oscar can live in a 55 for life??? wtf? lol
