On the way to lunch, me and my family drove by an old mustang on the side of the road for sale. After about 1 -2 hours we decided to drive home and stop to check out this beautiful car.

1964 1/2 Mustang mint condition everything new. 3 speed ( not to fast ).

I am now broke, and will have pics up when we pick the bad boy up at 5:00 so pics will be here at around 6:00. Its pearl white on the outside, with baby blue and white on the inside.

Now I just have to learn how to drive stick.

does anyone else here keep old fixed up cars? if so please post a pic.

Thanks, I cant wait till its here.... It pays off to be sick some times , get to skip school and get it early.

A 64 mustang as your first car??!!
You rotten kid:irked: :banhim:

Just kidding those 60s mustangs are one of the best looking cars of all time enjoy it.
I used to fix up cars when I was younger my pride and joy was a 72chevelle convertible I did a frame off restoration on.
My first car was a 70 nova me and my friend painted red with black stripes at his dads body shop.

wow :) I saved my money sence i was i think 12 and had enough so I bought it. I would love to see pics of the cars if you have any? I bet they were amazing looking :D

Good luck with the car Matt :) I had a similar car, a '68 Cougar (google it) when I was in high school.

yeah gl with it. Don't have any old cars now but always been into them just not enough room for both auto/aquarium hobbys in my pockets.

nice choice. ill let you know this now tho that modifying cars and fishkeeping dont really go well together lol. im 18 and damn between buying fish and messing with my car, i find myself broke alot. lol. gl with the car and have fun

Congrats! What a dream first car! One caveat, be careful. You're dealing w/ old tech there. The 170 cubic inch inline-6 with a three-speed may be slow, but those drum brakes are even worse! I've had two friends w/ 6-cylinder first-generation Mustangs, one a three speed and the other an automatic, so I've had the good fortune to drive both. My lasting impression, other than "what a sweet car", is that I felt like I was driving a Flintstone car and had to put my feet through the floor board to get the car to stop. Drive carefully and leave lots of extra stopping distance! The 3-speed will help though, as you will have more engine braking than with the automatic.
