Over there
I believe its a South American. It's just a tiny baby around 3-4". Right now he's in a 20L with my rubber eels to put on some size before he can go in my 50. I have 1 question though. It spends a lot of time just floating at the top. Is this normal? Thanks guys! ImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1406415011.813658.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1406415020.632069.jpg

great looking SAL. It will double in size in no time. Lets see some pictures of that rubber eel! Thats an aquatic pet you don't come by anymore.

Try to place some floating plants or any bushy plants that float. It will spend most of its time along the roots. I was able to train mine before early with hikari arowana stick and other floating pellets and it grew to 20" in 6 months.

I have anubias in there but the rubber eels keep knocking them back down to the bottom. I've never had great luck with plants though. What are some easy ones that float?

Watersprite is another good plant that can be floated or planted. Hope to see more pics & hope he eats for you soon :)

Dwarf water lettuce is easy peasy. Doesnt like too much surface movement though.
