Snapped the pic right after I got it in the tank. I can't wait until its color improves. My Senegal will always be my favorite but this guy is definitely the jewel of my tank and my most expensive poly so far!1400_10151833925734357_1302607504_n.jpg

lol wait till you get more into the hobby the spending gets worse lol nice poly

Nice pickup and nice aquascaping.

Thanks! I've got 11 pieces of Mopani driftwood in there and I'd estimate over 50 various anubias plants. Probably closer to 75 lol. I like the "jungle" feel of it; the fish really dig winding around the wood and making hidey holes.

I like it. what kind is it and where did you buy it??

It's a palmas palmas. I'll post another pic once his color comes back; he's not as pale now as he was in the pick but hasn't gotten as dark as he was when I got him out of the bag. I got him from Jason at Aquatic Daycare in Oregon. It's the second bichir I've purchased from him; he's got great prices and great customer service.

Very nice!! Like your plant setup too! Isn't the first non Senegal just awesome? It felt like Christmas acclimating my first more uncommon poly! Good pickup for sure

Thanks! My first non-Senegal was a captive bred delhezi, which isn't much of a step up. He was tiny when I got him though, itty bitty bichirs are the cutest!
