Got my pbass to eat Hikari Cichlid Gold

Only they didnt know they were eating it. Cut shrimp in half and put a large pellet in each half. Ive been trying for weeks to get them to eat pellets in the pond and they wont, so I had to use a little trickery

Im hoping the Gold might bring out a little more color in them

mine eat hikari gold and NLS jumbo mixed together.

I tried that before with pellets and they spit them back out at me...ate the fish chunks though!!! I'll have to try it again someday when they are a little bigger and just swallow the larger chunks! Awesome job!

I have 12 pbass from 6 - 11 inches and they fight over the shrimp when it hits the water, so the first one to it swallows it whole afraid the other ones will get it, so there is no time for spitting anything out LOL

i have 10 cichla, all eat hikari pellet without hestitation! never had any problem converting them onto pellet food... a few days of starving them and they grab at most things that hit the surface.. for the first few attempts they normally spit the pellet out but its only a matter of time before they take it properly..
