Got my Pumpkinseed.

Got the missing piece of the puzzle today. I caught my first pumpkinseed, then 3 more. Apparently they like to strike on the retrieve rather than hitting stationary mealworms. It was wierd, if I let the bait sit I caught a bluegill, but when I retrieved it I caught pumpkinseeds. Everytime. They would take it on the run and bolt away. Then they'd run all over trying to flip the hook while I reeled in. I thought these things were more mellow than your average bluegill. Today they seemed wild as hell. Either way it was what I was going for and I got it so i'm happy. Just wanted to share with some fish people.

In some states. He lives in Pennsylvania like me where it is legal.

It is NOT legal here in Indiana. Many of us do it anyway though.

Thanks everybody I'm pretty excited about them. Yeah it's totally legal here. I'm on point with the rules, there is also a lot of information to be gleaned from the members of this site.
