Lookinf for a growout tank for male and female midas untilt they to into the 120 when I move to RTC to a bigger tank. Because the tank is in my room I am very limited in space. Got a quote for a 60" x 12" x 16" and a 72'' x 12 '' x 16. I am sure you are interested in the prices... $325 eachh. Youd think the biger tank you be more. What do you guys think? Lnow or any other custom tank builders? Either setup woule be great for african mbuna, RBP schoal, or an all male malawi peacock setup. Thoughts?

Try for 16-18" width rather than 12", i'd hate to be so limited with a 6' tank that was only 1' wide, plus it'd be really easy to tip over - just my opinion

Not a bad price except that you have to figure in shipping. Did you get a shipping quote?

What about acrylic, have you considered it? Sorry don't know of any custom tank makers up in your area.

LOL, you basically suggested this before and he explained as to why he needs to have the 12" width.

well if they're the same price and you have the room for the 6' i'd say go with that if it comes down to those 2

Not with only 12 inch's of width it wont be.

Get the bigger one. But remeber that your basicaly not going to be able to get any fish larger than 6" inches with only a 12" width.

Does the price seem right? just under 100 bucks to ship. An all male malawi peacock tank woul be wesome.

People have ordered because they're cheap, but I've heard their finishing jobs are very crappy, with silicone looking terrible. Their customer service also looks bad. Do some research on the company. One guy even said the entire back panel of his reef tank split off..

I have a used glasscages 240. The silicon job is not pretty to say the least. And alot of the glass does not have straight cuts in it. But I got the tank dirt cheap and it's been holding fine.
