Right so I finally bought that Tokay Gecko I was asking about. Bought a second hand 20G too (the hex tank had been sold) but the lid cracked on the way home so my guy is in my snake's old faunarium until I rig a DIY lid together.

There were 3 Tokays to choose from, 2 had their original tails but looked skinny so I went for the plump one with a regrown tail.

It's not tried eating yet, at least the faunarium lets me see if it's eating the crickets. Tried offering a pinky mouse with tongs which was barked at and bitten, but not eaten. I'll leave it in overnight.

Just wondering, can they drop regrown tails too, or is it a once-in-a-lifetime job?

Anyway, "enjoy".

they can drop ther tails many times :( but they will regrow. i like the first pic he loks rady to kill :D nice choice

Nice tokay! Fiesty little buggers aren't they? He looks like a dark variety unless he's just stressed in the photo.

awsome yours looks pissed off lol

when I whent to look at the pics I thought man these guys are cool but they are bastards most the time.Sure enough I saw the pic and it looked like it wants to kill me,lol. Those guys do seem like a good display herp though. Are they ever active?

Looks pissed off like they usually are. Nice!

He was actually fairly light in colour in the shop, it's just a combination of him being stressed and a bad camera.

The pinkie was nowhere in sight this morning so I'm not sure if he ate it, I was in a rush so I didn't have time to check. All 4 crickets that I left in were still hopping about.

I'm quite nervous about trying to catch the guy. When the man in the shop tried to get in a cricket tub it sped out the tank and up the stack unit that all the other display tanks are on. I quote "oh bugger, OH ****" as he tried to catch it.

Anyway yeah, very pissed off, but this should get interesting. I'll post some more pics tonight if I get a chance, big Art project to finish for tomorrow so I'm not sure if I'll be on much.

Post pics of the art project when you're done, art major right here.

My gecko used to escape whenever we cleaned his terrarium, but now he just chills on the glass. I guess he got tired of being chased around my room. He's a day gecko, so he's not as nasty as your new friend.

Awesome, will do.
Here's a few more pics I snapped, managed to catch him briefly. He's definately eaten the pinkie...
