So I recently grabbed a rather nifty tank that looks exactly like the one in the pic below. I am in the process of staining the stand to match the rest of my furniture, so while I finish that up I've been toying with how to decorate the tank itself. Since It is essentially 2 tanks connected by 2 tubes, I wanted to go with some sort of dichotomous theme. Initially I was looking for some sort of good/evil set-up, but I just can't seem to find the right decorations. Then I was thinking about some sort of time/space theme, but the only way I could think to represent "space" was an empty tank (and that's no fun). Currently, I am leaning towards a nature/nurture theme where half of the aquarium would be planted, and the other half would be decorated to depict civilization (maybe in the form of a city skyline?).
Anyways, I am hoping for some inspiration from people here. I would still love to do the good/evil theme (especially since I already have enough black gravel for one side and white for the other) but I need help with the decorations. Other ideas are welcome. I'm trying to stay away from simple rivalries (briefly considered Redskins vs. Cowboys theme) and go for larger ideas with the decor.
Any help or ideas are always appreciated.
