Hey guys, I've been a member here for some time but havnt really posted. I recently got rid of about 15 mbunas that I had in the tank with my frontosas, peacocks, and haps. I now have in the tank 6 frontosas, red fin kadangos (2f, 1m), eureka red peacocks (1m, 2f), 5 venestus (1m, 4f), 3 demasoni, 2 blue dolphins, 4 yellow labs, and sp. 44 and 2 upside down cats. All fish are still juveniles, and get along great with really no problems. They're in my 55 right now and in a few months will go in a 180. Only other fish I plan on adding is a Lemon Jake peacock. Pics coming soon.

You have some great fish, but I would not mix those together. Most likely in any circumstance long-term, but definitely not in a 55.

IMO your Demasoni and sp. 44 will be far too aggressive to be with your Frontosa and peacocks. I had a sp. 44 for long time with haps and peacocks until it turned crazy one day and took over the tank (and it was a 6' 150). In haps and peacocks, I almost always have males, so I do not know females will change the dynamic.

Based on your m/f ratio, do you plan to breed? I am not sure how well that will work with all of them in one tank. It seems that would increase aggression, but I will defer to those that regularly breed their fish.

You mentioned getting a 180 in a few month....the sooner the better. Some pics would be good to see the actual size of your fish.

Thanks for the input! Yes I will be upgrading to a 180 in a few months as I have no room for it at my current house, yes I do plan on breeding but am not really too concerned about hybrids as these are my personal fish and will not be distributed or sold to any pet store. The demasoni have been under close watch and I really can't lie, so far so good. My sp.44 does occassionally go at it with my venestus, but Ii have a friend who really wants to trade the sp. 44 for more yellow labs and I just might do it. I can post pics right now If someone can tell me how to do it from my phone.
