I went to A Place for Pets in Burien yesterday and I totally went nuts! Let's see... I got a freddy, managuense, mota, Escondido Texas cichlid, nicaraguan, chuco godmanni, caquetaia myersi, orange pike, salvini, grammodes, mayan cichlid, and ornate bichir. I think that's it lol. Also, on the way home, I picked up acrilic to build a 240 gallon aquarium! I'll try to get pictures of the new fish, but they're pretty small and, well, my camera sucks lol.

Very cool. I have an Escondido and some C. myersi that I got from there. Their grammodes didn't look well when I was there a week ago. By mayan, you mean uro, right? I saw festae when I was there, no uros though.

I want some of the Chucos and Paraneetroplis that they have.

dang that's a huge stash you picked up! awesome! :woot:

keep us up to date about the monster tank you're going to build.

but let me be the first to say this - this thread is useless without pictures!!! :ROFL:haha... jk man

Very nice pickups! I REALLY need to check out this store heheh

And I thought I went overboard on my last trip to the LFS. Nice pickups.

lol yeah. I don't really know about the Mayan/Uro. It was sold as "Red Panamese". I googled the name and didn't really come up with anything. I threw it in with my baby festae as it was about the same size and it blends right in. I honestly can't tell which fish it is lol. So I guess it might be another festae, but all festae there were sold under the same name.

They only had one grammode left, and I couldn't see anything wrong with it, so I grabbed it. The escondido is awesome! I was too cheap to get one of the big $35 ones, so I got a 2 inch juvie for $15. It's stressed like crazy, but is still the bluest fish FW fish I've ever seen! I'm physced about getting a myersi. I know have 50% of all caquetaia lol!

Ah, so it's not a mayan. They're Archocentrus panamensis, formerly Neetroplus.

I had one that couldn't handle it with the more bruiser cichlids. They're a smaller (5") more peaceful cichlid.

My Escondido is honestly the best I've seen, and she's only 4". She was the last one he had in May at around 2". You won't be dissapointed.
