We made a group order of 9 bdxleos from Netherlands as those are ~impossible to find here in Finland. They arrived yesterday in really good shape and started eating almost immediately. I got one male and two females from unrelated parents, so breeding should be ok. Size is around 12-14cm, so they are really small. Now in own tank, so I can really follow that they eat properly.

I'll put better images after they get a bit bigger.

Yes stated on text that BD x Leo hybrids. Let's just wait how those develope. Anyway hybrids, so not as special as bd.

congrats, they are very nice!

Upgrades.
They look nice and quite dark already.
Actually this is the state when they are the most faded. They are just 3-4 weeks old. When they have just born, the colours are better; then it fades and it takes a while to get better.. There hasn't been any leopoldis in Finland within 10 years and now we have 4 pairs. All bdxleos in pairs are unrelated, so target is to have leos to stay in Finland also in future ;) The pairs will be located in tanks by different aquarists, so let's see who gets the first pups :D

Nice Rays! Good Luck with the breeding program. It's nice to see that you are making every effort to breed good quality unrelated rays - Great for the species and the hobby!
