. You know... like Mountains are made out of
I'm allways on the lookout for interesting rocks when I'm on trips as well, and have even been known to stop and pick a neat one up from a road cutting before too.
Cheers
Ian
thx Ian, yea, my friends looked at me in the weirdest way when i told 'em to make a stop cuz i wanna pick up a few rocks, lol. but it's so koo, cuz there're tons of shapes and sizes to choose from, i'll be picking up some more the next time i go.

cool rocks. Whats that bright red fish? its beautiful!
the red fish is a female festae aka true red terror, and imo, their color is as good as fresh water fishes get ^^

Any special process to clean the rocks before putting them in your tank? I live very near to a very clean creek, and I often wonder if I should do anything specific before arranging the rock I find in my tank. I usually just rinse 'em in the bathtub! lol Good lookin tank! Props!
umm, not to any specific. since i picked up these on the mountain, they're from natural environment, w/o exposure to chemicals etc...so i just soak 'em in water for a day then rinsed 'em and brushed off the dirt. but if u r picking up rocks from a creek, then u might wanna do a good job cleanin...cuz they might have parasites/diseases. i just put 'em in the water tank of my toilet, so they get cleaned every time i flush. and plus, the chlorine of the tap water would kill the germs wutever. after a few days, i'll just soak 'em in a bucket of aquarium water for a while then drop 'em in my tank
