got some dats!

Decided to pick up 3 little dats last weekend (about 2-3"). They are pretty stable... stably black. :irked:

They have incredible personalities though. So much better than any of my previous dats. As soon as they see me they are right up at the front begging for food. Eating krill, market shrimp and hikari carnivore pellets. It's a shame that their colors are so crappy given that they've settled in pretty well.

Here are some pics. The first is a group shot and the second is the best looking of the lot :)

Give them time, their colours will come through. I have a 2-3" IT also, he is always up the front of the tank, eats anything that goes in the tank. Also likes to shoal with my silver dollars. This little one is more outgoing than the rest of them.

As they settle in further, they will become more stable, if not, no worries, as long as their out and about thats cool.
 
takes some time.... i keep lights on a timer and give them no place to hide and they usually stable out quickly
 
I have given up trying to get all my Dats stable. They all seem to take it in turns. As long as eating, swimming around, taking interest in all thats going on, then thats fine with me.

Stable colour is just a bonus, usually seen only by me, as when people come round they always seem to be doing nothing and dark coloured.

hmmmm my guy was in a take of 3 him being the smallest, and he was the only stable one and following me around the tank. once in the bag he was unstable but almost as soon as he was in the tank he was stable again...

I guess they are all different, just mine isnt eating atm.
