Got some expensive fish today!

Nope, it wasn't a monster fish or a rare fish.

I had hubby pick up 3 dwarf gouramis and 6 black neons for the 35 planted tank today. Total: $42! Might as well got another ugly discus for the tank for that price!

I was thinking maybe $25 or $30 tops. Still, it was cheaper than having them shipped.

Does $42 seem high to you guys for these fish?

Yeah, way high. My LFS sells dwarf groumies for $2.99 and black neons for $1.50. Would have been less than $20 at my LFS. My LFS even sells discus for $35. Your store is high.

I've never bought fish from this paticular store before (over an hour away), just knew that it was close to were DH was working today. I called ahead to make sure they had the fish, guess I should have asked for a price!

wow i wish any of the petstores around here sold discus, ive been to 4 different ones and only one store sold them and they were 60 dollars.
