ok i picked up some live rock today. when i was putting it in my tank i saw a work fall off it was kinda brownish orange with like hairy sides theres about 20 of them what are they

bristleworms of one variety or another... mostly harmless although a few bite and can have nasty stings

yep they are bristleworms they scare the **** out of me lol and there only a like an inch what eats them?

lined wrasses (6, 8, 4, etc) different haliocoeres wrasses, arrow crabs, coral banded (aka boxer) shrimp, aldabdraensis dottybacks to a small degree

then there's the classic standby, a nylon stocking with some food in it overnight

They are a natural clean up crew leave them. As the nitrates and waste goes away in your tank, their population will go down. If the waste in your tank is high, they will come back and you get a free clean up crew.

kk sounds good its just the rocks kinda had alot on them will they harm anything

if you touch them they sting. bad.

to keep the population under control you could try a pseudochromis of sorts. theyre realy pretty fish...

I would say let nature take its course, they will die out slowly once there is less food, but if they dont die then it means that they are needed haha. If they are bristle worms (and not fireworms) then they shouldn't harm any thing at least I have never heard of a standard bristleworm damaging any thing but waste products haha.
