next time just quote congicus and we would know what you are referring to when u say endlicheri congicus and cross, it got me confused for a while

a side profile pic would be helpful as from this angle, i am not expert enough to tell if the head shape is different from a typical congicus.

however, the coloration is indeed unusual for a congicus. and the bars does seem a bit thicker and more "jagged".

it might even be a volta endi idk ^^

tha pic was a day after i got him. he is now alot darker and eating like a pig. getting fat fast lol
the vendor i got him from had voltas so it could be. they seemed kinda un organized and i told he rto give me the best lookin one lol
maybe i got a volta on accident
so im confused on the whole endlicheri/congicus thing. is a congicus an endlicheri or are they 2 diff polys?

LSf has retro and ornate in 6in for 20 bucks.... hmmmm..... should i pick one of each up?

Your congicus looks pure, and wild caught. There is a lot of variation in pattern and color for all species of polypterus, but yours is only pale because it was still stressed from the move, but it seems you figured that out already.

The congicus has really nice head shape, I prefer those over the pancake faced ones.
