do not drill the 29. almost always tempered,,,, unless you can find specs on that tank and figure if its tempered or not, do not try it, you will have a hell of a mess.

As said above, i would be very wary on drilling without finding out exactly the type of glass..

With regards to the tank with a hold in the base...Thats easy, just buy a bulkhead and a cap...fit it, seal it, job done....

Sounds dumb! But I don't know!
And the bottom is tempered but the rest is not!!!
Plus I've got plans for a 90 wide 48"x24"x18"tall plus two 29 gallons all on the same sump and tall homemade stand (one piece with a "bar" and stools so I can have dinner "at the tank"
The tank I'm getting has a center overflow just like this and yes all glass(less scratches)
