Hello everyone,

As you know from previous threads in this forum, I have a very big 150 gallon and it is set up pretty good for a fire eel. There is only one problem....I can't find a fire eel anywhere. I've searched online, communicated with suppliers, and just can't seem to find one for sale. I am also new to purchasing fire eels online and do not know if they typically will send them over night directly to your door. Anyways if anyone knows a seller please let me know.

Thanks,
nick

my regular lfs' never carry them in stock but every one can special order them for me. try a privately owned establishment. petsmart and petco to my knowledge are the only stores around here that can't get them. also try the MFK classifieds section. GL!

also there is someplace in ohio that will send to the nearest airport. i beleave its tfdfish.com i ordered my fire eel, gold nugget, snowball pleco, 2 motoros, 2 butterflies, and 2 bgk. all were alive and all are still alive and doing great. i have had great luck with them. and if you dont want to buy from them then any local dealer can usually get them from there supplier on a special order if your just ordering one fish than thats usually the way to go. but on big orders you will usually save money on distributers or breeders. gl

I wouldn't order from TFD. I've ordered two fish from them (two bichirs). The first came in deformed, the second was mangled with all of its fins completely missing and bloody wounds on its body. It was also misrepresented and they sent me a Polypterus senegalus instead of a Polypterus palmas- a mistake I find unnacceptable since they sell senegalus for $4 and "palmas" for $15.

Order a fire eel from them and be prepared to receive deformed and/or injured fish that are any species that even somewhat looks like fire eels.

petsnpals and petco let me order specific fish, ask them, mabe they will.

Alright I have checked both chiclid station as well as TFDFish (which has a 200 minimum order) and both do not have fire eels in stock. I need help guys! Please point me in the right direction.

Thanks
