i think its a hyrid.

Here is a pic of my hybrid, does your fish look like this. As for the water parameters do a double check. Also make sure he has a refuge in your tank it'll make him feel secure and more likely to eat. You can also subdue the lighting and check what he was eating before you brought him home all these things will make him feel more comfortable.
