I have done it before with no problem in a 20 gallon with two angels and two gouramis

Probably,some angels get aggressive but give them lots of plants and some floating plants or logs and it should work

Yes, just don't do anything stupid, like get a Giant Gourami, or a puffer fish. I would suggest a tri-spotted/blue gourami. I have two 4 inchers in my 100G.

i would suggest honey gouramis. Or maybe some dwarf gouramis. I think the yellow and blues might be too mean in a 29. I had a yellow that killed all my fish in my 29, even giant danios (surprised it could catch them).

If your tank is less then 15" high, skip the angels.

No way. I had a gourami that made my angelfish misirable. Dawrf gouramis will probably get beaten up by full grown angels.
