I have a female 3 spot gourami who is constipated. A few days ago she was fine, happily eating the Omega One fish food I provided. The next morning I noticed that she had stopped eating. She would swim past the food or swim near the flakes and then turn around and head the other direction. I have started doing 50%, 20%, and 10% water changes every day. It has been about 5 days since she last ate; I have tried Mysis shrimp to get some more fiber in her, but she just stares at the food. Tonight I noticed some stringy, clear/white feces. Does anyone have any idea on what to do?

Aquarium salt is salt (Sodium Chloride, NaCl) same as any other, table salt, rock salt etc etc they are all the same.
Epsom salt (although called a salt ) is something else altogether.
It is Magnesium sulfate (MgSO4) and effects the body (of humans and fish differently) helping the intestines purge, among other things.

Do you have a picture of the fish? Is he bloated? White stringy poo can be a sign of other things also.
