i have what is supposed to be a breeding pair of gouramis but, the male is super aggresive and once i put im in with the female he began to nip at her tale as if he wanted to mate with her, but there is no bubble nest build and she isn't even the slightest bit intrested. I hade to seperate the pair because he was going to kill her be tairing her tail appart. what do I do. P.S. they are in a 33 long heavly planted.

Sorry - what kind of gouramis? Keep them seperate for now and condition them on live/frozen foods. When the female plumps up a bit, put them back together again and see what happens. (expect this process to happen for a good few weeks, if it is a breeding pair).

I have four gouramis and they just chase each other at no end, but hardly ever do they nip. they usually charge each other's sides. With that much room, they should be able to get used to each other easily, just give it time and keep their health up.
