I have a gold opaline gourami, and he is swimming slightly off balance, and spends more time on the bottom of the tank. I don't think he is eating, either. Today I saw that his left fin is slightly torn. What can I do about this? I performed a water change yesterday, to hope that would help.

He is in a 29g with 2 goldfish, a bichir, and 3 cories. (Do no blame me. I got the goldfish very long ago, and the bichir as a present).

Thanks if you can help, I don't want to lose my gouarmi.

If you owned a kitten and got a tiger as a gift, would you house them together? The point here being that you should know better. You've mixed tropical and coldwater fish since you have goldfish in there as well. Buy another tank or get rid of some.

I'm asking for help please, not for you to just bash me. Trust me, if I could get another aquarium, I would.

Anyway, all the fish have been doing fine actually, up until now. Can anyone help? Should I use some type of medical treatment?

there is a med out there for fin and tail rot, I cant remember the name of it right off hand but I think that might help his fin

Do water changes daily. What are your water parameters?
