alright how long before I have to move this G gourami into a bigger tank and what size tank should I move it in? and can I keep a smaller albino G gourami with it now?current tank 15 gal...RTC has been relocated to a 75 gal..so gourami and pleco remain..
If you are going to move it eventually, I'd say you could get away with 4-6 weeks if you are changing water and proper filtration. (nothing too crazy) and the fish could get up to 16 inches (possible bigger but more likely to hit 16 in time) so you will need a decently sized tank. You could stage your tank sizes if price is limiting you but if you want to get just one upgrade past your 75 gal, I would say go over 150 gal. Your RTC will out grow your G. gourami and faster.
If you're water conditions are good none of your fish are going to get stunted. The tank does not limit the potential size of a fish, that is an old myth.
I hope you have a pond planned or someone who will take these off your hands when they get monsterous, which they will. You'd need a public aquarium or the like because those are going to be some big fish that not many can provide the proper housing for.
RTC will be living in a pool once big enough.Right now he is in a 75 gal. GG will be moved in 75 gal once RTC is rehoused and when GG gets super sized he will go in 100 gal+ tank..Just wanted to know how long..Anyways THANKS GUYS!!I keep the water crystal clear and ammonia, nitrite free...Nitrates are acceptable...Don't know if I got nitrate and nitrite mixed up they are kinda confusing but water is crystal clear and WC performed twice a week..
