Hey everybody. I have a giant gourami that’s been beating up my tank lately. Probably about 8 inches. (Finally somebody bit her ass back) but she’s been on a need to rehome list for a while.
Somebody is willing to trade their short body denizli bichir for her. I’m not sure if it’s worth it or an equal trade or whatever. I just started caring about bichirs recently. I have one Senegal bichir already in my tank, probably also 8 inches. Pretty quiet guy. Tank is 300 gallons. I don’t even know if a short body is a thing or if the growth is just stunted. He’s saying they’re super rare in the US. He also spelled gourami gourime. So I’m not sure how trust worthy that is. Pics are of gourami right after she got messed up. She’s on the mend now. Fear not

Might be a good trade. If that person doesn't even know what kind of fish they have I would be careful. Also Endlis can get much bigger than senegals and so may cause aggression/predatory problems in the future (although CB may not grow as big as WC).

Off topic a little bit, but how can you tell a CB from a WC?

CB have the frog looking eye's and the head is round. WC no frog looking eye's and head shape is more like a square. In the # 3 pic look at the eye's.

That’s pretty interesting, do you happen to know what causes it?
