I wonder if anyone knows about dwarf gouramis??? Can someone help me???

well i'm wondering what i should do. I got 2 dwarf gouramis for my birthday in december and one died so i took it back and got a kenyi not thinking cause i wanted to get out of the store. the kenyi bit off most of the fins he has on his belly and there not growing back and since i moved him in with a small male guppy he doesn't eat that much.

sorry to hear that these guys need to surface for air labrynth (sp) fish they really need all their apendages to get there when needed as they do to eat i would put him out his misery its more humane..
pm me if you need help in this area i dont like posting ways of putting fish down its not the nicest thing to read..

I had some until recently. One got a large sore on his head and died. Treated with Mela and Maracyn, and antifungal no results. I will say that he always defended himself well though.

When i got the gouramis in the first place the one that died had a spot on his left side where it looked like he was bit. I treated him with formulin 3 but it was getting worse so before he just died i put him out of his misery and i cried all the way back to meijer's.

I still need some help with my gourami. He still hasn't grown back his feelers (not sure what to call them) but there on the bottom of his belly and they still haven't grown back since the kenyi bit them off . Can anyone help me???

Gourami are kinda sensitive.....they dont like to be bullied. i have always kept them together and never anything that could do much damage....neons...guppies....little fish. and i have never noticed them being very big eatters not very active. he may be just fine and you are overreacting. give him some more time before you but im down.

Thanx for the info.
