well i now why but anyways, that just irritates me!! a friend a mine ( just met 3 weeks ago ) had a snakehead and those reptiles that look like aligaters ( starts with a C ) i SOOO want a snake head! it isnt our fault that retarded ppl release fish into the wild!! so why should we be the blame?? grah (rant over)

I would love to own a Snakehead.

Did you catch River Monsters about the Snakehead? The problems we are seeing of them becoming an invasive species was NOT blamed on hobbyist who released fish. It was blamed on importers trying to raise them to sell to the Asian markets.

They really are cool fish.

If you live in a state where these beasts have been intruduced just catch one and throw it in a tank. People in fl could keep snakeheads if they catch them. It would keep them out of the water ways. Then if your fish got too big just eat it. They have healing powers so the Asias think.

I remember back in the day they were in every fish store. They were very common. As common as all the staple fishes you see at every shop.

Just like any good thing a few can ruin it for everyone.

Your friend has a crocodile?

You're not reading the law correctly. In FL, if you catch a SH, you may keep it under the conditions set for game fish. The main condition is that they're retained not alive. It's still illegal to sell, possess, or transport live SHs or their viable eggs.
