grammode cichlid question

how big do they get on average?? and how long will they take to get that big

Biggest I've seen in person was a 8 inch male who was 7 years old. Ridiculously slow growth rate on grammodes IME

I've had mine for a little over a year and it has only grown to about 5" from 2.5". Awesome fish, but slowest grower I have by far.

They do take a couple of years to get to full grown size.

It is kind of slow, but normal for them.

I had 4 in a 180gal got them all @2inch got them to7inc with in a year with 3 water changes aweek and good feeding
Its all about the water changes

Took mine about a year to go from 1.5" to approx 6".
