Managed to get some shots of my Grammodes pair. I now have these in the Trigon 350, they spend most of their time hiding at the back. These were F1 stock from Rapps last year, theyre now 6".

cool looking cichlids mate ! are they very aggressive or just around their patch ?

Theyre quite aggressive in general. I had no problems when i kept them in the 8 footer. Its kicking off a bit in the 350.

I'd have thought so ... yes mate.

Theyre really slow growers and only become nasty at 5", a single specimen kept in a community setup from an early age would be ok i reckon.

Yours didn't go nuts until 5"? Nice, mine went on a killing spree when he hit 3.5". Then again mine's kept in a much smaller tank than yours.

wow those guys are beautiful. they look exactly like my pair same size and everything. I also got mine from rapps but only a couple months ago. mine are very aggressive. male 6" female 4.5-5" and they took on a 6"male umbee, 6" male dovii and dominated that tank as soon as i dropped them in. so i now have them in their own tank.

I first put them in 180. they are now in a 75 and doing great. no aggression towards eachother. just towards anything else. and they were really social in 180, not so much in 75.
