every year on the last weekend of july the town of grand isle, in south la. has its annual tarpon rodeo. this has allways been a huge event, fishing and partying. kinda like mari gras on the beach. well the thing you guys never saw on the news, was this place was devastated by katrina. but it bounced back really fast. this year they are holding the 86th annual rodeo, and the are expecting 15,000 people. i found some pix in my local paper of some of the fish from last year. thought some of you fishermen would enjoy. also the fishing down here is like this year round.so come down and enjoy.
