why my flowerhorn doesnt want to eat grand sumo? but he eats humpy head. what is the reason behind it?

Sorry but I don't think anybody here (or in the world) could answer such a question, different fish simply have different tastes sometimes.

But I have a better question and I'm trying to be practical, not harsh: why are you double posting all over the place with different threads and usually in the wrong sub-forums? Your question is about a Flowerhorn, why wouldn't you simply post it in the Flowerhorn sub-forum, which you already know about??

Just to let you in on a little secret: quite a few other fish keepers don't even like Flowerhorns (more than a few even detest them) due to their status as hybrids -- you will generally get more and much better informed replies to your queries by posting in the Flowerhorn sub-forum, just saying. For the record I love FH :)

I have grand sumo too... and my fh isn't very enthusiastic about it.... even my cichlids too

I just feed them with it to clear the grand sumo and even then once every few days

I've never tried Grand Sumo, not easy to find here in Thailand weirdly enough. Protein level is a tad high (so good to also feed other lower protein pellets), but ingredient list (if comletely listed) looks pretty darn good imho, no corn, wheat or soybean fillers:

Ingredients
White Fish Meal, Krill and Shrimp Meal, Seaweed Meal, Spirulina, Omega 3 & 6 HUFA, Fish Liver Oil, Brewer’s Dried YEast, Rich Amino Acids (PHE, His, Iso, Leu, Arg, Trp, Met, Lys), Vitamin A,D,E, Riboflavin, Niacin,B6,B12,Biotin,Stabilized Vitamin C and Minerals (Ca,Cl,K,Na,P.Mg,ZN,MN,Cu,Se), Beta-Carotene, Astaxanthin, Cantazanthin, Phycocynin, Xanthophyl.

Guaranteed Content Analysis
Min Crude Protein 45%
Max Ash 12.8%
Max Moisture 6.5%
Max Crude Fiber 3.5%
Max Crude Fat 3%

But I don't understand what they're using as binders & fillers, the seaweed meal & brewer's dried yeast, or is something missing from the listing?

I personally love Grand Sumo food. I have been using it for the last 6-8 years that I can remember clearly. The problem is there are so many fake food out there!!! So many counterfeit products made to look like grand sumo and are just a cheap garbage pellet inside. I have never had a flowerhorn not eat Grand Sumo. 3 Kamfas, 2 Silks, 1KK/SRD, 1 KML, 1 Red Texas, and 2 SRDs that all gobble the food up with out hesitation. Real grand Sumo food has always served my FH well. I buy it from a friend who owns a shop in NYC. He gets the real food directly from the manufacturer. My buddy bought some last year online and it ended up being fake. Didn't smell rite, and his fish were not eating it very well. Mostly spitting it out. I brought some of my Sumo over and tossed it in all his tanks and every flowerhorn gobbled it up. He had around 9 flowerhorn at the time. Great food, cant praise it enough, just got to get the real stuff not fake. Little disclaimer time: Sometimes some FH can be really really picky about their food. If you don't feed your fish for 24-48 hours you can usually introduce a new food and they will happily accept it.
