in looking for a quality FH staple for what i hope will be my future breeders of kilin parrots, i keep seeing ching mix and grand sumo as popular FH foods.

anyone have any preferance over which food is better?? im not too concerned about prices as much as i am the end result. looking to get them nice size and bring out their coloration as much as possible since first and foremost they are display fish in my bedroom :D

chingmix bro

I heard many good things about chingmix, though I really haven't tried it yet because there's no chingmix distributor here in Montreal. :(

Grab a quarter, heads = CM and tails = GS. I think your odds will be about the same as your responses. A varied diet will likely produce the best results. There is no 1 single wonder food.

wonder food, no. food that people notice better growth and color over others, yes.

if i get a big differance, i would try that food. if i get equal, im thinking of just mixing the two :)

I would suggest then to compare the ingredients on each makers website. Each fish may respond differently to the minute differences in each of the formulas. The opinions you will receive on improved growth and color are based on the perception of each individuals fish not a scientific comparison. Each FH witch doctor has their own perfect formula. In my opinion they are both good. I believe a staple diet is what you were looking for. Color, pearl, and growth enhancers ... you will open up a whole new can of worms on that topic.

my diet once i get my sp100, is:
chingmix sp100 headbooster and color
haifeng fast color
hikari bio-gold plus

bloodworms
shrimp
redworms

honestly any food with alot of "filler" ingredients are actually bad for our fish.

i personally prefer the chingmix. only because i have used both in the past and got better results form the chingmix. don't get me wrong each fish might be different and respond to different foods.
