Like the title says, I've been feeding Grand Sumo Red and Grand Sumo Original in the mornings and brine/krill/bloodworms/mysis at night.
First of all, IS my Kamfamalau getting nicer?
Second of all, do you think it's because of the Grand Sumo, or it is just good water quality (55 Gallon, 30-40% water change weekly), DNA, and overall TLC?
Curious about your opinions because I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make my guy feel better.
First 2 pictures are of when he had time to acclimate after shipping, and the last 2 are very recent. So far I notice a larger kok, and better colors.

genetics are #1, food and care rapidly assist in their true potential. I like sumo red or nls for growing out my fish. He definitely looks lke he settled in a bit, the reds are popping. I'm sure he'll look good in 6 months =D

I was thinking of finding a lady for him to share his tank with while he grows out (divided of course). What do you guys think? KKP or Kamfa?

I think either one would be a nice mate. Just depends on where youre trying to head with the fry.

I don't know too much about Flowerhorns and their strains but I do know Colorado doesn't have a great, or even any, selction of Kamfas. This guy I'm guessing is a ZZ? What if I got a nice female ZZ/Kamfa?
-Its in the works lol
