I was wondering if its ok for my red ear slider to eat grapes? Also if he can what other fruits could be fed? Thank you.

if thats him in the avatar he needs to outgrow a grape before he can eat one:ROFL:oh im sorry,jk.dang that was dumb i know, good luck, someone answer them so they dont stay mad at me:)

Lol, I suppose you could feed him grapes, I've never tried it though. But at this stage with his growth, he needs to eat mainly meaty foods. When he gets closer to the adult size you can try veggies more.

Try different things now and see what he likes. Most likely at this size he will be taking vegetation. You can also try live aquarium plants. You may want a reptile specific forum with an aquatic turtle section for more experience.

What is his diet now?

i know your getting mxed messages right now but if he were mine cause he will get significantlly larger then what he is now i would still keep him on mainly meaty (75-80% of diet) and some vegies (obvious other 20-25% ) for a while more

But he is past his primary growht spurt. If in the wild he would be grazing on vegetation at this age, why not give it to him in captivity?

What brand(s) of pellets? I would use mainly Zoo Med and Hagen Max.

I found that the best diet is a mix of a variety of high quality turtle pellets and high quality fish foods. I would not feed freeze-dried, frozen, and definitely not live. Live food is not nutritionally good for them, can increase aggression, and can introduce a variety of parasites and diseases.

There is nothing wrong with feeding freeze dried and frozen foods. The turtle is GROWING he needs proteins. When they start slowing down, then you include more plant material in the diet. I believe the turtle is less then a year old anyways. I do agree that you should stay away from live fish, but crickets and worms are fine for him to eat. Plus, what kind of aggression is he going to deal with living by himself?
