With all my concentration on my fh for the past few weeks.. (who is not settled back in his old tank, and stopped shaking and stressing).... yesterday I came home to see...

my green terror....took a bite out of one of my oscars tail... I BELIEVE it was the GT...because I don't think the other oscar has that much teeth power to do this at his size... both oscars are the same size almost...

Will this heal? The oscar is eating fine...swimming fine...added salt..temp up. I believe the cause of it was, I stayed over at a mates house...so they were not fed for oever 24 hours...I came back home to this. Both oscars were attacked... the other red oscar is with the GT...he can stand up for himself ..kinda.

hard to say, depends on how much of the tail is gone, and if its all the way to the bone / cartilage... if its all the way to the cartilage area, then it may not grow back, but if its just the fins that were torn, then it will almost certainly grow back...

Your oscar still looks kinda young.. It mite take some time and care but it shuld fully grow back in time as long as it hasn't been bit to much past where the tail end close to the body.. My jack I had did the same to my young oscar he didn't swim rite for a while but it eventually came back fine

should eng up being ok, there is that thread where the guys oscar got bitten in half by 2 JDs in the cichlid section and its recovering ok. just keep the temp up and water clean and add salt, i think he will be ok.
