Guys, its been a while since I posted, have had two map turts given to me, got a spare 4x2x2 that they will be going into, but I was wondering, as never kept turts with anything before, I have read that people keep them with fish quite successfully, I was wondering, as I only have two fish, -

Clarias sp. Malaysian Locale, and adult Blood red parrot male, could any of these go with the turts in your opinion?

they range from 6 to 8 inches the turts,

the clarias about 12 inches

the parrot 10 inches, thanks guys.

Btw the parrot is peaceful, never attacked anything, unlik any other cichlid ive ever known. thanks.

Maps in my experience show little interest in live fish, but all turtles are individuals. If you decide to keep them together, just keep an eye on everyone for the first few weeks and make sure there's no aggression or undue stress.

Agreed, my map totally ignores live fish, I had a convict in with my turts for awhile with no issues.

I would avoid the Clarias they can be agressive and maps are very peacefull turtles

thanks for the replies, they are in with my parrot , i looked at the clarias, he would be able to eat their heads! not worth the risk, he is so powerful its unreal!
