Grass Pickerel?

Does anybody know where I can get my hands on some Grass Pickerel? I have found a few online sources to buy native fish, but none seem to carry Grass Pickerel. I would like to try my hand in keeping some predatory natives, so any input or info would be appreciated.

Too bad you're not closer to me. I have caught dozens this year on my pond.
Try aquaculturestore.com and aquabid.com. There are none on aquabid right now, but they show up occasionally.

+1 there's a swamp an hour and a half north of me stuffed to the edges with them. I'm not the best at bagging fish yet though, not for as long as it takes to ship them, anyway.

hay duckman Im looking for a grass pickerel
and i live really close to you For some reason i cant pm or i would have done this thought there. I would love to be able to fish for my own if thats possible as thats what im doing for the rest of the in habitants of my tanks. Im still not having any luck finding these guys. Im starting to think catching them myself would be the quicker/cheaper option, but theres too many unknown factors for me to make that a viable option right now. Anyone have any suggestions?

I would go to your local tackle shop and ask them if they are around anywhere locally. If they are, use a small hook and clip the barb, and haul then in quick so they don't get tired. Put in a bucket or tote of the water with a portable air bubbler. Aclimate as normal, i imagine temp will be biggest shock as they do better a bit colder.

Have you contacted Rapps? Aquascapeonlone.com seems to be able to get stuff if you can get ahold of them. Put an ad on local classifieds, and maybe check out aquabid.com (long shot, not a popular fish). You got an ad in marketplace here? Someone may be willing to go to a pet store and have them ship it for you.
