This is a weird but i have a small 19 ltr tank with a krib family in there. But i found a single blade of garden grass growing in there. I no that grass gets pretty long, but if growing at the back it will look cool and wavey. AnywY, Q is, would grass be a viable plant ? Is it poisonous ? Would it erase amonia and such ?

Not sure what type of grass that is, but i'm going to go ahead and guess its most likely not dangerous...

Now will it grow and fill out an area is likely debatable unless its getting everything it needs to spread like wild fire... overall, probably no harm in leaving it in there to see what happens, worst case scenario is it dies back and you pull it out, best case scenario you have a free planted tank ;)

Im thinking homer, is to dash afew more at the back of the tank in a tight zig-zag formation. See if anything occurs

^ Definitely worth a shot, although will it grow the way you would like, that is another question... since as i'm sure you probably know, its pretty hard to get plants to always grow exactly where you want them to once they get going...

Are these plants terrestrial plants from your garden? Or did they emerge one day inside your tank?

I only ask because they were terrestrial, they may go through a melting period and may or may not bounce back...

It grass seed for the garden i assume. I dont know where it came from or how it got in there. But i can see the seed casing and it looks like a domestic grass seed

Oh well in that case just try and see what happens since it may work it its been growing from just a seed...

I had a bird cage close to a tank a few times and I would have all kinds of seed start to grow. Even sunflower seeds. Non lived.
