i am trying to breed jack dempseys and my gravel is getting a little dirty. Someone told me not to get a plecostomus because it would eat the eggs. Any ideas on what to get to clean my gravel?:nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly:

A gravel vac is your best option. Just use it to clean your gravel once every week or so, when you do your water changes.

Gravel Vac like said above. I would go for a decent priced one the cheaper ones dont work as well, at least not in my exp.

any ideas on a type of fish or crustecians?
some fish might eat leftover food and other things from the gravel, but no fish or invertebrate will actually keep the gravel clean without dirtying it to some degree themselves, a gravel vac is your best bet

Any animal in a tank will produce waste making the gravel dirtier. It's your job to keep it clean

a gravel vac fish :D jk. like said above a gravel vac
