Gravel color

I have a tank with a few Electric Blue Acaras. My gravel is white. They look good but was wondering if a black or darker colored gravel would bring out their colors even more?

Black and blue gravel I find helps 'color up' fish along with a good diet

yeah, dark substrate really helps. Fish will tend to 'fade out' over light substrate and darken (and increase the intensity of their colours) over dark substrate to blend in.

My fish have a natural, plain gravel mix. And there colours seem to be perfect

If I do change my gravel am I going to loose a lot of bio.

So em but if you have sufficent bio in your filters it should be ok. You could always do a partial change and do it in stages
