i was wondering how much sand or gravel was good for a puffer..how much would b enough for him to hide in and b comfortable ? thnx in advanced

I think puffers like to bury themselves so i would assume enough for it to come close to that.

BTW, im using pool filter sand, not play sand

I have my puffer in black sand and it is 1 inch deep in some area and 4 inches deep in other areas, he gets to choose how deep he wants to bury himself. I would give your puffer the same choice.

Those are fake plants and the only time he will mess with them is if he gets freaked out and gets tangled in them , but mine didnt eat any of the real ones.
