I'm thinking about not putting gravel in my tanks any longer. It just seems to be a pain in the but. I may put a few of the big pearly stones or just a tad bit of gravel scattered here and there. What do you all think? It seems like the gravel is just a nightmare to clean.

thanks,
Monty

goin bare bottom on my next set up. goin to aquascape but no substrate

my temp 90 holding my fish from the 125 wide is bb and i am diggin it. so much cleaner, but none of my fish are burrowers so it works. obviously some fish need substrate to do thier thing

The fish that I will be keeping are a couple of red monkeys and a red dragon. I'm hoping that bare bottom would be much cleaner.

yeah I wouldn't take the gravel out of my african chiclid tank because they dig moving rocks around. That would eliminate half of the fun watching them keep house. I never see my Red devil, flowerhorn, and clown knife even touching the rocks. I have only had the Flowerhorn for one week though.

Aquascape? Does that mean putting things in the aquarium to decorate, but no substrate AKA gravel? So you may put driftwood etc in the tank?
