I don't know if I want to do sand, small gravel, or large rock/gravel for my 75g. The tank will be housing 3 Yellowtail Barracudas, a few Cory cats, possibly a Paraya, and some Tetras. Which do you all prefer and why? I love how they all look, but as far as the fish and maintenance goes, which would you prefer for a similar situation?

Thanks!

Would pool filter sand cause any problems for my Aquaclear 110 filter if it got stirred up a bit? Talked to one of my LFS and the guy said sand can require a special kind of filter? Didn't sound right to me, but then again I'm still learning. Thanks!

well idk if this answers your question but pool filter sand is more of a beach sand its not super fine

another way to put it-its like really small rocks
idk how i can say it differently

Oh I get what you're saying 1005, man. I just looked it up and read about it a bit. My main concern was if it got kicked up buy the fish when swimming around, would it get caught in the filter and plug it up? I'll also be using a Powerhead and wasn't sure if it would stir the sand up a bit. Thanks!
