I am going to replace the gravel in a couple tanks with sand, what is the best and cost effective type of sand to use with sa/ca's

Im looking for somewhere that sells pool sand near me is there any certain brand I should look for? Is it a silica sand?
Make sure you wash the Pool filter sand VERY well to.
I just removed 300 lbs of Pool Filter sand from my 300g.
For one, I did not like the look. And two, even after washing
the crap out of it, it was still dirty.
So do it right the first time. Wash-Wash-Wash-Wash...And wash it again.
It's not fun trying to get that sand back out of your tank.

I went back from sand to gravel as well. The poop is ALWAYS visible, and the tank always looks dirty. Make sure you want to do it before you do it, because it is a pain in the rectum to get sand OUT of the tank.
