Gravel to Sand

I was planning to remove my gravel and put in sand.Is it safe to put all the fish in a big Rubbermaid container with an airstone.I currently have 1 jardini, 5 parrot fish and 2 angels.

If the gravel isn't too big you could probably just get a Rubbermaid tub and siphon the gravel into it while siphoning out the water with something like a gravel vac from the Rubbermaid tub wouldn't be too hard I imagine

When I did the conversion, I left all the fish in. Just turned off the filters so when I poured the sand it wouldn't all get sucked in.
