Okay, so started yesterday while trying to gravel vac. My flowerhorn was trying to attack my hand. I took my hand out as soon as he came charging at it. I tried a few times, but he wasn't having it, repeatedly charge, and try to attack my hand.

I stop and just took out the water and refilled the tank, without doing the gravel vac. Saw a guy on YouTube using an attached wooded stick onto the gravel vac, so I guess I will have to go that route. Either that or use some long thick rubber gloves.

I have similar problems with my fish. Actually this idea could work, I'll try that technic with my flowerhorn :) well, I will use some gloves in the beginning ;)

Well I haven't gotten any gloves etc, but I made my 3 years old daughter stay on one side of the tank, distract the fish, while I vacuum one side. Also wipe down the glass also.
