do haps and peacocks need sand or is gravel acceptable. The reason I ask is because I bought 100 pounds of gravel about a month ago and I'm having seconds thoughts about my tank options, I think I might sell my 125 gallon and buy a 75 for haps and peacocks (and use the gravel for them) and turn my 55 that has sand already in it into an ocellatus gold tank.

Sell a 125 and then get a 75... Don't do it! The 125 is such a better tank

It is a nicer size but the actual tank is 21 years old, it has scratches and I recently resealed it but I'm just to scared to fill it up. I'd hate to come home from work with 125 gallons on my floor. If I bought a new 75 and it busted open I'm sure I could get the company I bought it from to pay for the damages.
