Walking up the sidewalk to my house after getting home tonight I noticed a little frog sitting right in the middle of my path. Naturally, I bent down and caught it to have a better look at what the little guy was. I found the distinctive white patches under the eyes that could mean only one thing, a Gray Tree Frog. I've been wanting a few grays for quite some time so I gently closed my hand around him and continued up the walk where I found another frog. They both went into a glass mason jar with holes poked in the lid and a little aquarium water in the bottom for the night. I have since found five more Grays and an American Toad of the same size.

I think I'm going to let the toad go but I would love to keep the frogs because I've been wanting Grays for a while now. Except I have no idea how to keep them. What do I feed frogs that aren't an inch long yet? What habitat needs do they have? I have a few spare ten gallon tank I can put them in tomorrow. If anyone could help me with this that would be awesome.

a ten gal should work for now. but they will need a bit bigger tank eventaully.

They should be able to eat small crickets just fine ( make sure you use supplements).

Use some eco earth in the bottom, a water dish, some live plants and lots of climbing/ hiding places.

Simple frog to keep.

I have a 55 that the center brace is broken on so I've been wanting to keep a herptile in it. Hopefully that would be good for them.

that would be more than enough for these guys. They get big but are good pets from what I hear. they should be able to live on crickets their whole life but they will also eat mice and lizards. keep them just above room temp and with lots of hiding places as mentioned and some dechlorinated water and they will thrive.
